About the Role

PlantCatalyst Africa is seeking a talented and creative Video Editor & Social Media Manager to join our team. If you are passionate about video editing, social media storytelling, and brand growth, this opportunity is for you.

Key Responsibilities

Video Editing & Content Creation

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, After Effects, or similar tools for high-quality video editing and content creation
• Edit engaging short-form and long-form videos for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube

Graphic Design

• Skilled in creating professional social media graphics using Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, or related tools

Social Media Management

• Manage and grow PlantCatalyst Africa's social media presence across digital platforms
• Develop and manage content calendars and posting schedules
• Create compelling captions, reels, stories, and promotional content aligned with the brand
• Monitor social media engagement, analytics, and platform performance metrics
• Stay updated with social media trends, viral content styles, and platform updates

Content Capture

• Skilled in basic photography and content capture for marketing purposes
• Ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Media, Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field
• Proven experience in video editing and social media management
• Portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous work
• Strong understanding of digital marketing and social media trends
• Experience managing brand or business social media accounts is an added advantage
