OVERVIEW
Mawila Lodge, located in Liwonde with scenic views of the Great Shire River, is inviting applications from suitably qualified and motivated individuals for both internship and permanent positions.
The lodge is seeking enthusiastic students, recent graduates, and experienced professionals who are passionate about hospitality and committed to delivering excellent guest experiences.
AVAILABLE POSITIONS
Internship Positions (6 Months)
1. Marketing Intern
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with social media content creation.
• Support digital engagement activities.
• Promote the lodge's services through various marketing channels.
Requirements
• Strong communication skills.
• Creative mindset.
• Interest in marketing and digital media.
2. Accounting Intern
Key Responsibilities
• Support financial processes.
• Perform data entry.
• Maintain financial records.
Requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• High attention to detail.
• Interest in accounting and finance.
3. Front Office Intern
Key Responsibilities
• Welcome and assist guests during check-in and check-out.
• Respond to guest inquiries.
• Provide daily administrative support.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for guests.
Requirements
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Professional and welcoming attitude.
• Strong customer service skills.
Permanent Positions
1. Housekeeping
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation in guest rooms and public areas.
• Ensure guest areas are clean, organised, and comfortable.
Requirements
• Experience in hospitality or a cleaning environment is preferred.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently.
2. Chef
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare menus and meals.
• Ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards.
Requirements
• Culinary training or relevant professional kitchen experience.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
