EPay Mobile Money delivers digital payment services across Malawi. Services include money transfers, merchant payments, and bill payments. The focus stays on safe, affordable, and accessible financial services.
EPay Mobile Money is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions.
POSITION 1: SHOP SUPERVISOR – SALIMA
Job Overview:
The Shop Supervisor manages daily operations at the EPay Mobile Money shop in Salima. The role ensures quality customer service, secure cash handling, staff supervision, accurate records, and achievement of shop targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily shop operations and staff activities
- Ensure customers receive fast, accurate, and professional service
- Manage cash, float, stock, devices, and shop materials
- Verify transactions and ensure compliance with company procedures
- Prepare daily sales, transaction, cash, and customer service reports
- Monitor shop performance and support achievement of sales targets
- Handle customer complaints and resolve service issues promptly
- Train, guide, and monitor shop staff on products, procedures, and customer service
- Ensure the shop remains clean, secure, and properly branded
- Escalate operational, system, cash, and customer issues to management
- Support customer registration, wallet activation, merchant onboarding, and service promotion
- Maintain accurate records for cash movements, stock, attendance, and transactions
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, ICT, or a related field
- Experience in retail, customer service, sales, mobile money, or shop operations
- Experience supervising staff is an advantage
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Good cash-handling and reconciliation skills
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills and report-writing ability
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and accountability
- Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
POSITION 2: SALES REPRESENTATIVE – BLANTYRE
Job Overview:
The Sales Representative drives customer acquisition, merchant onboarding, and usage of EPay Mobile Money services. The role builds strong relationships with customers, agents, merchants, and local businesses to meet sales targets and grow the EPay brand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and recruit new agents, merchants, and customers
- Promote EPay Mobile Money products and services in assigned areas
- Visit businesses, markets, institutions, and communities to generate leads
- Onboard merchants and agents according to company procedures
- Train customers, agents, and merchants on wallet registration and service usage
- Meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants and agents
- Submit accurate sales reports, customer feedback, and market updates
- Support activation campaigns, roadshows, and promotional activities
- Resolve basic customer and merchant concerns or refer them to relevant teams
- Monitor competitor activities and identify new sales opportunities
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, or a related field
- Experience in sales, marketing, customer acquisition, or mobile money operations
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and meet targets
- Good customer relationship management skills
- Basic computer skills and report-writing ability
- Knowledge of mobile money services is an advantage
- Willingness to travel within assigned areas
POSITION 3: BRAND PROMOTERS – BLANTYRE
Job Overview:
The Brand Promoter increases awareness and usage of EPay Mobile Money services. The role engages customers in communities, markets, businesses, events, and public areas. The promoter explains products, supports customer registration, and drives wallet activation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote EPay Mobile Money services in assigned locations
- Explain money transfer, merchant payment, bill payment, and wallet services
- Register new customers and support wallet activation
- Guide customers on safe and correct use of EPay services
- Distribute promotional materials and support marketing campaigns
- Identify potential merchants, agents, and customer leads
- Collect customer feedback and report service concerns
- Meet daily customer registration, activation, and sales targets
- Submit daily activity reports to the supervisor
- Represent EPay Mobile Money professionally at all times
- Support roadshows, activations, events, and community campaigns
Qualifications and Skills:
- MSCE
- Experience in sales, marketing, customer service, or promotions is an advantage
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident in engaging people in public spaces
- Ability to work independently and meet targets
- Basic knowledge of mobile money services is an advantage
- Honest, energetic, and customer-focused
- Willingness to work in markets, communities, and outdoor campaign locations
