OVERVIEW

Intertek Sub Saharan Africa is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to join its laboratory team in Balaka.

The successful candidate will ensure that client sample preparation and analysis requirements are fully understood and carried out according to established laboratory procedures and standards. The role also involves maintaining confidentiality and security of all samples while ensuring priority tasks are completed efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare laboratory samples in accordance with established procedures and standards.
• Ensure all client samples are handled with strict confidentiality and security.
• Understand and meet client requirements regarding sample preparation and analysis.
• Follow laboratory priorities and maintain quality standards.
• Support efficient laboratory operations and comply with safety procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Applicants should possess:

• A Diploma in Laboratory Technology or an equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of five (5) years' experience working in a minerals laboratory.
• Good customer liaison and communication skills.
• High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Medical fitness for laboratory work.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
