About the Role
Limbe Leaf Tobacco Company Limited is seeking a qualified, experienced, and motivated individual to fill the position of Seasonal Blending & Threshing Supervisor in Lilongwe.
Overall Job Function
Reporting to the Processing Shift Coordinator, the Seasonal Blending & Threshing Supervisor will be responsible for supervising blending and threshing lines in order to produce a threshed product and by-products that meet or exceed customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervision of Threshing Operators, Blending, NTRM, and Offal & Stem Dumping foremen
- Responsible for optimization of processing efficiencies meeting specified throughputs, optimizing lines for tolerable standard deviations, yield targets, and NCP reduction to set targets
- Controls utilization of consumables
- Monitoring and reporting of threshing operational performance
- Implement Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality programs and other safe working policies
Requirements
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
The successful candidate should at least have the following qualifications and experience:
- A minimum of a Diploma in any of the disciplines of Mechanical or Electrical from a recognized institution
- A minimum of two years' work experience in a tobacco processing factory
- Highly self-motivated individual with demonstrable ability to work under high pressure
- Must be flexible and willing to work under demanding circumstances
- Must have excellent communication, data analytical, and supervisory skills
- Able to work on shifts without supervision
