OVERVIEW

Founded in 1987, AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is a global organization providing cutting-edge medicine and advocacy to over 2,900,000 patients in 50 countries. In Malawi, AHF partners with the Ministry of Health and Sanitation to strengthen access to quality treatment for HIV/AIDS, TB, and STIs across multiple districts.


Role Purpose

To manage front desk operations, support client flow, and strengthen linkage and retention services in a high-volume health facility.


Key Responsibilities


• Welcome clients and manage front desk operations professionally

• Register clients in EMR systems and maintain accurate records

• Direct clients to appropriate service points

• Support linkage of HIV positive clients to care

• Track missed appointments and coordinate follow-ups

• Distribute and monitor partner notification slips

• Maintain reception area supplies and documentation

• Handle client inquiries and feedback

• Participate in facility meetings and service improvement initiatives

• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned


Qualifications and Requirements


• Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration, Information Systems, Public Administration, or related field

• 2–3 years’ experience in reception or administrative roles

• Experience in NGO or healthcare environment (added advantage)

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Basic knowledge of EMR systems and MS Office

• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment

• High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism
