Job Description
Portland Cement Malawi Limited invites applications from suitably qualified, highly motivated team players and result driven candidates for consideration to fill the following position.
ROLE SUMMARY
The Procurement Graduate Trainee will support procurement processes including supplier sourcing, purchase order preparation, bid evaluation assistance, and inventory tracking.
The role provides exposure to contract administration, vendor relationship management, and compliance with procurement policies. The candidate shall work as a trainee for a period of one year. If the candidate performs well, he/she shall be offered permanent employment.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, and CIPS Level 6 qualification, or related field
- Internship or 1 year experience in procurement or logistics is desirable
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, basic Excel proficiency, and good negotiation and communication skills
- Familiarity with procurement systems
- Attention to details and adherence to procurement ethics is a must
- Be able to manage work pressure and quick to learning
