Position: Plumbing Instructor

Reporting To: Principal

Location: Chilangoma, Chileka, Blantyre, Malawi

Employment Type: Full-Time (Three-Year Contract)

OVERVIEW

Stephanos Foundation is a Reformed Christian faith-based international non-governmental organisation (NGO) committed to improving the welfare of orphans and vulnerable children through care and development programmes. The Foundation is inviting applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated individuals for the position of Plumbing Instructor.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, competency-based training in plumbing and irrigation, mentoring apprentices, managing training resources, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and examining trade board requirements.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, prepare, and deliver competency-based plumbing and irrigation training programmes.

• Develop schemes of work and lesson plans.

• Assess students through assignments, tests, and practical evaluations.

• Supervise and mentor apprentices while promoting a disciplined and conducive learning environment.

• Manage and safeguard trade tools, equipment, classrooms, and training materials.

• Maintain adequate supplies of training resources.

• Collaborate with relevant authorities and colleagues on curriculum development.

• Ensure training programmes comply with examining trade board requirements and industry standards.


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Education

Applicants must possess:

• An Advanced Diploma in Plumbing.

Work Experience

• At least 2 years' relevant work experience.
