Zomba Diocese Health Commission operates under the Social Directorate of the Catholic Diocese of Zomba. Its mission is to advance the healing ministry of Jesus Christ by promoting human life and providing preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services in a holistic manner. This is achieved through participation in collaborative networks and partnerships, aligned with the needs and capacities of the communities, and in accordance with Catholic core values and principles, to ensure the delivery of the high- quality services, the Commission is seeking to recruit motivated and experienced individuals for the following vacant positions at one of its health facilities St. Robert Health Centre (Sitima).

4. Direct reporting Officer : Maintenance Supervisor
5. Indirect Reporting Officer : Assistant Human Resources Officer
6. Supervision Exercised : none.
7. Duties and Responsibilities

• Planning new plumbing systems.
• Chasing pathways for a new plumbing system.
• Lying pipes in new plumbing system.
• Carrying routine check – ups for the existing plumbing system.
• Identifying plumbing faults and fixing them.
• Attending to plumbing faults in the staff houses.
• Advising Management on good plumbing practices.
• Preparing plumbing maintenance budget and submitting to Management.
• Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time.

1. Qualifications

• Malawi School Certificate of Education.
• Malawi National Trade Test Certificate in Plumbing or equivalent qualifications.

1. Knowledge, Ability and Skills

• Well conversant with the health system in Malawi.
• Ability to work independently.
• Effective communication skills.
• Problem identification and solving skills.
