Job Summary

The Pharmacist will be responsible for overseeing daily pharmacy operations, managing medication stock, supervising junior staff, ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations, and providing professional advice to customers on medication use and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations including petty cash management
• Ensure proper stock management and inventory adjustments
• Create staff schedules for adequate pharmacy coverage
• Supervise sales assistants and junior pharmacy staff
• Enforce proper storage procedures for prescription drugs and controlled substances
• Verify prescription details with healthcare professionals when necessary
• Advise customers on medication usage, dosage, and possible side effects
• Monitor expiry dates and maintain approved drug lists
• Ensure safe handling and storage of controlled substances
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally
• Respond to phone calls and process prescription orders
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and drug distribution regulations

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
• Must be registered with PMRA
• Experience in retail pharmacy is an added advantage
