Our client, is seeking a highly analytical and strategic thinker to take on the role of Strategy Thinking Lead. This role is designed for an individual who can turn ambiguous client situations into clear, structured problems, develop actionable strategies, and confidently present insights to senior decision-makers across sectors including government, private sector, NGOs, and development partners.

The role suits a sharp, curious, and independent professional who can seamlessly switch between analytical rigor and creative problem-solving, while maintaining a strong grounding in the local Malawian context.

Some of the responsibilities include; defining and structuring client problems, conducting research and stakeholder analysis, building financial models and market insights from limited data, developing and pressure-testing strategic options, preparing high-level presentations and executive briefs, leading client workshops and engagements, and contributing to firm growth through proposals, tools, and mentorship of junior analysts.

Key requirements:

• Relevant degree (Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field)

• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in consulting, strategy, banking, or development finance

• Strong problem-structuring and analytical thinking skills

• Ability to build financial models and derive insights from limited data

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders (CEOs, government officials, boards)

• Strong understanding of Malawi’s public sector, private sector, and development landscape

• Experience working with government, NGOs, or donor-funded projects
