Job Description
Horizon Global Limited invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced, motivated and results-oriented candidates to join our team in the following positions.
POSITION 1: HUMAN RESOURCES CLERK (2 POSITIONS)
Location: Blantyre (1 Position) & Lilongwe (1 Position)
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in HR administration.
- Sound understanding of HR practices, procedures, and employment processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication, organisational, interpersonal and administrative skills.
- High level of confidentiality, integrity, accuracy, and professionalism.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date and confidential employee personnel records.
- Support recruitment, selection, onboarding and employee documentation processes.
- Prepare HR letters, contracts, notices and other official HR correspondence.
- Maintain accurate attendance, leave, and employee movement records.
- Support payroll preparation and verification of employee information.
- Assist with performance management and employee relations activities.
- Support the administration of disciplinary and grievance procedures.
- Assist with employee induction, training, and other HR initiatives.
- Prepare HR reports and maintain an efficient and well-organised filing system.
- Ensure compliance with Company HR policies, procedures, and applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Perform any other duties reasonably assigned by Management.
POSITION 2: SALESMAN – FMCG (4 POSITIONS)
Location: Lilongwe (2 Positions) & Mzuzu (2 Positions)
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- MSCE with proven sales experience OR Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years' proven sales experience, preferably in FMCG, distribution, or trading.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and customer relationship management skills.
- Good knowledge of the assigned market and territory.
- Self-motivated, energetic, commercially aware, and target-driven.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote and sell the Company's FMCG products to existing and prospective customers.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with retailers, wholesalers, distributors, and other customers.
- Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Conduct regular market visits and identify opportunities for increased product penetration.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, promotions, and market trends.
- Ensure effective product availability, visibility, distribution, and market coverage.
- Follow up on customer orders, payments, and outstanding balances.
- Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Provide Management with relevant market intelligence and customer feedback.
- Ensure strict compliance with approved Company prices, sales procedures, policies, and SOPs.
- Perform any other duties reasonably assigned by Management.
POSITION 3: SALESMAN – CHEMICALS & FERTILIZERS (2 POSITIONS)
Location: Lilongwe (2 Positions)
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Sales & Marketing, or a related field OR MSCE with substantial proven experience in selling agricultural inputs, farm chemicals, or fertilizers.
- Minimum of 4 years' relevant sales experience, preferably within the agricultural inputs sector.
- Strong understanding of the agricultural and agrochemical market.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote and sell farm chemicals, fertilizers, and agricultural inputs.
- Identify and develop new customers, farmers, agro-dealers, distributors, and business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key agricultural stakeholders.
- Provide accurate product information and appropriate after-sales support.
- Conduct regular market visits and identify new sales opportunities.
- Monitor agricultural market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Develop and maintain an active and accurate customer database.
- Follow up on customer orders and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Achieve agreed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Prepare accurate sales and market intelligence reports.
- Provide Management with relevant market information and customer feedback.
- Ensure compliance with Company sales procedures and applicable product-handling requirements.
- Perform any other duties reasonably assigned by Management.
POSITION 4: MARKETING INTERN (4 POSITIONS)
Employment Type: Paid Internship
Location: Kalonga (1 Position), Mzuzu (1 Position) & Lilongwe (2 Positions)
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
- Students on holiday, recent graduates and candidates awaiting graduation are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, and organisational skills.
- Creative, energetic, proactive, and willing to learn.
- Ability to work in the field and interact professionally with customers.
- Genuine interest in marketing, sales, customer engagement, and brand development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in implementing marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
- Support product promotions, activations, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Conduct market surveys and collect customer feedback.
- Assist with market research and competitor analysis.
- Support social media and digital marketing activities.
- Assist in preparing marketing and promotional materials.
- Support product visibility and brand awareness initiatives.
- Maintain accurate marketing records and databases.
- Prepare daily and periodic marketing activity reports.
- Participate in events, activations, exhibitions, and promotional campaigns.
- Perform any other duties reasonably assigned by Management.
