POSITION 1: SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS – SCIENCE, HUMANITIES & LANGUAGES
Reports to: Head Teacher / Deputy Head
JOB TYPE: Full Time
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area.
Recognised teaching qualification.
Registration with relevant education authorities, where applicable.
Secondary school teaching experience is an added advantage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and deliver effective lessons aligned with the relevant curriculum and the school's Christian ethos.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of the subject(s) being taught.
Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet different learning needs.
Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, teaching and learning materials, and assessments.
Assess, record, and report student progress accurately and on time.
Provide remedial and enrichment support where necessary.
Encourage students to take responsibility for their own learning.
Teach the major subject(s) of specialisation as assigned by the school.
Maintain an organised, disciplined, inclusive, and positive learning environment.

SUBJECT-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Sciences (Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Studies, Physics):
Hold a relevant Bachelor's degree and recognised teaching qualification in the subject of specialisation.
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach at secondary-school level.
Encourage analytical thinking, problem-solving, experimentation, and practical application.
Ability to conduct practical and experimental lessons (for Chemistry, Biology, and Physics).
Strong knowledge of computer systems and applications (for Computer Studies).
Humanities (Bible Knowledge, History, Geography):
Hold a relevant Bachelor's degree and recognised teaching qualification in the subject of specialisation.
Develop students' critical thinking, analysis, research, communication, and interpretation skills.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Bible and Christian principles (for Bible Knowledge).
Strong knowledge of historical events, people, societies, and developments (for History).
Strong knowledge of physical and human geography (for Geography).
Languages (English, Chichewa):
Hold a relevant Bachelor's degree and recognised teaching qualification in the subject of specialisation.
Demonstrate excellent command of the language being taught.
Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, listening, comprehension, and communication skills.
Excellent command of written and spoken English (for English).
Excellent command of spoken and written Chichewa (for Chichewa).
POSITION 2: LIBRARIAN
Reports to: Head Teacher / Deputy Head
JOB TYPE: Full Time
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To manage and develop the school library as a welcoming and well-organised learning resource that supports teaching, research, reading, academic achievement, and lifelong learning among students and staff.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications and Experience:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science, Education, or a related field.
Experience working in a school library is an advantage.
Knowledge of library classification, cataloguing, and information management.
Basic ICT and digital information management skills.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Good knowledge of books, information resources, and research.
Ability to work well with students and teachers.
Good ICT skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the day-to-day operation of the school library.
Organise, classify, label, and maintain books and other library resources.
Maintain accurate records of library resources and users.
Manage borrowing and returning of books and other materials.
Monitor the condition of library resources and arrange repairs or replacement where necessary.
Maintain a clean, safe, quiet, and welcoming library environment.
Assist students in locating and using appropriate books and information resources.
Promote reading and independent learning.
Encourage students to develop research and information-literacy skills.
Support students in selecting books appropriate to their age and academic level.
Assist teachers and students with research and learning resources.
Work with teachers to identify library resources required to support the curriculum.
Assist in developing and maintaining subject-specific collections.
Maintain an up-to-date catalogue and inventory of library resources.
Monitor the acquisition of new books and learning materials.
Prepare reports on library usage, resources, and needs.
Organise reading activities, book clubs, literacy programmes, and other library-related activities.
Integrate ICT and digital information resources where available.
POSITION 3: ASSISTANT FARM MANAGER
Reports to: Farm Manager / School Management
JOB TYPE: Full Time
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To support the Farm Manager in the day-to-day management of the school farm, including farm operations, accurate data recording, farm stores management, resource control, production monitoring, and reporting.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications and Experience:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Agribusiness, or a related field is preferred.
Practical experience in crop or livestock production.
Experience in farm records, stock management, or stores management is an advantage.
Experience supervising farm workers is an advantage.
Experience working in a school or institutional farm is an added advantage.
Skills and Competencies:
Good agricultural and practical skills.
Strong record-keeping and data management skills.
Good stock and stores management skills.
Basic computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet applications.

Assist in planning and coordinating daily farm activities.
Supervise farm workers and casual labourers as assigned.
Support crop production, livestock management, poultry and other farm projects.
Monitor farm activities to ensure they are carried out according to approved plans.
Assist with planting, weeding, harvesting, feeding, storage, and other agricultural activities.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of farm activities.
Record crop production, livestock numbers, poultry production, feed usage, harvests, sales, and other relevant farm data.
Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly farm records as required.
Collect and organise data to support farm planning and decision-making.
Prepare regular reports and updates for the Farm Manager.
Ensure that farm records are accurate, complete, and properly filed.
Manage and maintain the farm stores in an organised and secure manner.
Receive, inspect, record, and safely store farm supplies and materials.
Maintain accurate stock records and stock cards.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages or items requiring replenishment.
Ensure proper storage of seeds, animal feed, fertilisers, chemicals, tools, equipment, and other farm materials.
Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies.
Ensure proper use and care of farm tools, machinery, equipment, and materials.
Promote safe working practices on the farm.
Support school sustainability initiatives such as composting, biogas, and other agricultural projects.
POSITION 4: LABORATORY TECHNICIAN – SCIENCE & COMPUTER LABORATORIES
Reports to: Head Teacher / Deputy Head / Head of Science Department
JOB TYPE: Full Time
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To manage and provide technical support for the school's science and computer laboratories, ensuring that equipment, materials, ICT systems, and learning facilities are properly maintained, safe, organised, and available to support effective teaching and learning.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications and Experience:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Laboratory Technology, Science, ICT, Computer Science, Education, or a related field.
Relevant experience in a science laboratory and/or computer laboratory is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.
Basic knowledge of computer networking and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures.
Experience working in a school or educational environment is an advantage.
Skills and Competencies:
Good practical and technical skills.

Prepare science laboratories, equipment, chemicals, specimens, and materials for practical lessons.
Support teachers in preparing and conducting Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and other relevant practical activities.
Ensure laboratory equipment and materials are properly stored, maintained, and available when required.
Maintain accurate inventories of equipment, chemicals, glassware, specimens, and consumables.
Monitor the condition of laboratory equipment and report damaged or faulty items.
Monitor laboratory supplies and advise management when replenishment is required.
Support science practical examinations and assessments.
Maintain high standards of laboratory safety, cleanliness, and organisation.
Ensure chemicals and hazardous materials are properly labelled, stored, and handled.
Ensure appropriate safety equipment is available and maintained.
Manage the day-to-day operation of the computer laboratory.
Ensure computers and other ICT equipment are properly maintained and available for teaching and learning.
Assist with the setup and preparation of computers for lessons and examinations.
Maintain accurate records and inventory of computers, printers, networking equipment, accessories, and other ICT resources.
Assist with software installation, updates, and basic configuration where authorised.
Support teachers and students with basic computer-related technical issues.
Provide basic troubleshooting for computers, printers, projectors, and other ICT equipment.
Provide basic support for local area networks, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and access points.
Escalate complex technical problems to the appropriate ICT technician or service provider.
