OVERVIEW
Outple helps businesses build capable, dedicated teams in Malawi. We find talented professionals, employ and equip them locally, and provide the ongoing support they need to work successfully as part of our clients' teams. Outple is also recruiting on behalf of a private household in Mandala, Blantyre.
POSITION 1: OUTBOUND SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Location: Blantyre, Malawi
Employment: Full-time preferred; part-time may be considered
Compensation: Competitive salary plus performance-based bonuses

KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Highly confident speaking on the telephone.
- Excellent spoken English communicator.
- Clear, professional and articulate.
- Comfortable speaking with people they have never met.

- Quick-thinking and able to respond naturally rather than relying entirely on a script.
- Comfortable asking questions and leading a conversation.

- Comfortable using computers, email and online business tools.
- Ambitious and interested in developing a career in sales and international business.
Experience:
- Previous experience in sales, telesales, business development, recruitment, banking, telecommunications, customer service or another client-facing role would be useful.
- However, we are particularly interested in communication ability, confidence, intelligence, attitude and potential.
- You do not need to have worked with UK clients previously, but you must be capable of communicating professionally with them.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Make outbound calls to prospective business clients.
- Work towards approximately 80 to 100 calls per day once fully trained.
- Speak directly with business owners, directors and senior managers.
- Introduce Outple clearly and confidently.
- Understand a prospective client's staffing and capacity needs.
- Ask questions to determine whether there is a genuine opportunity.
- Handle common questions and objections professionally.
- Book qualified sales meetings.
- Follow up prospects by telephone, email and LinkedIn.
- Maintain accurate prospect and activity records in our CRM.
- Manage callbacks and follow-up activity consistently.
- Work through targeted prospect lists provided by Outple.
- Help improve our sales messaging based on feedback from conversations.
- Develop your understanding of Outple's services and the UK business market.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Performance will be measured through:
- Outbound calling activity.
- Meaningful conversations with prospective clients.
- Qualified meetings booked.
- Meeting attendance.
- Sales opportunities created.
- Quality and consistency of follow-up.
- New customers generated from your activity.
WORKING HOURS
The role is based in Blantyre. Because you will primarily be speaking with businesses in the UK, your working day will be aligned with UK business hours. Exact working hours will be agreed with the successful candidate.

POSITION 2: HOUSEKEEPER / HOUSEHOLD ASSISTANT
Location: Mandala, Blantyre, Malawi
Working Pattern: Full-time, six days per week
Arrangement: Live-in or live-out
Package: Good salary and package for the right person

THE HOUSEHOLD
The home is a comfortable three-bedroom villa in Mandala:
- Three working adults.
- One independent child aged almost nine.
- A full-time gardener who is already responsible for the garden and outside areas.
This role is primarily focused on the inside of the home and its day-to-day organisation.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Previous housekeeping, domestic or hospitality experience.
- High standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Can wash and iron clothes properly.
- Understands the safe and correct use of household cleaning products.
- Is careful with other people's belongings.
- Can prepare basic meals.
- Speaks and understands English well.
- Is honest, dependable and punctual.
- Is organised and able to manage their own workload.
- Uses initiative and does not need constant supervision.
- Takes pride in doing a job properly.
- Is interested in a stable, long-term position with increasing responsibility.
Previous employer references will be requested from shortlisted candidates.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keeping the house consistently clean, tidy and organised.
- Proper cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas.
- Understanding which cleaning products should be used safely on different surfaces.
- Cleaning carefully without damaging furniture, clothing, appliances or finishes.
- Washing dishes properly and keeping the kitchen clean and organised.
- Washing, drying, folding and ironing clothes to a good standard.
- Changing and washing bedding and towels.
- Keeping household supplies organised and noticing when items need replacing.
- Preparing basic meals when required.
- Helping maintain good household routines.
- Noticing jobs or problems that need attention and dealing with them appropriately.
- Taking increasing responsibility for the smooth running of the home.
WORKING ARRANGEMENT
The position is full-time, six days per week. It can be either:
- Live-out: Travel to and from the house each working day.
- Live-in: Accommodation can be provided on the property if preferred. Separate staff rooms are available.
There is already a male gardener living on the property with his family.
SALARY AND PACKAGE
We are prepared to offer a good salary and strong overall package for the right person. The exact package will depend on experience, capability, whether the position is live-in or live-out, and the level of responsibility the person is able to take on.
