TEACHER TRAINING COLLEGES
There are a total of 10 Teacher Training colleges from which you can select your two colleges of preference.

Chiradzulu Teacher Training College
Karonga Teacher Training College
kasungu Teacher Training College
Lilongwe Teacher Training College
Machinga Teacher Training College
Mchinji Teacher Training College

Minimum Requirements
Candidates interested to join the Initial Primary Teacher Education (IPTE 21) course must:
be holders of a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent with a minimum of four credits including English and at least one of the following science subjects: Agriculture, Additional Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Studies, Home Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Physical Science and Science & Technology. Candidates who failed to satisfy the minimum admission requirement but successfully improved their grades after re-sitting may use their supplementary statements indicating years they obtained the grades.

Training Conditions
Successful candidates will be required to pay a non-refundable financial contribution of K 75, 000.00 per term towards tuition and boarding fees when in college. However, the fees are subject to revision by Government from time to time.
Trainee teachers will have to meet all travel expenses to and from the college and teaching practice schools during the entire two-year training period.
Upon successful completion of the training, individuals will be awarded a Primary Teaching Certificate of Education (PTCE) by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB).
However, successful completion of the training does not warrant automatic employment by the Malawi Government.
If you are meeting the stated entry requirements, ensure you have a soft copy of your certificate before you start your application.
Application method
Applications are strictly online through this portal.
Once you have submitted your application, the system will generate an invoice number for you to use when paying the application fee.
Using the system generated invoice number, pay a non-refundable application fee of Twelve Thousand Malawi Kwacha (MK12,000.00) through TNM Mpamba or Centenary Bank or FDH Bank under the NCHE

Any applications submitted without the necessary details will lead to automatic disqualification.
