DATA MANAGEMENT SUPPORT: MONITORING AND EVALUATION
United Nations Volunteers (UNV)
Job Description
UNDP works in more than 170 countries and territories, helping to achieve the eradication of poverty and the reduction of inequalities and exclusion. We help countries develop policies, leadership skills, partnering abilities, institutional capabilities and build resilience to sustain development results.
UNDP has been present in Malawi since 1964. Working closely with the Government of Malawi, civil society and the private sector, UNDP's work aims to contribute to economic growth, sustainable environmental management, and democratic governance and accountability in Malawi. UNDP's Country Programme Document is closely aligned to the Malawi Agenda 2063 and supports Malawi's aim to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
Context:
UNDP Malawi is committed to strengthening results-based management and evidence-driven programming across its Country Office Programme. To enhance the quality, timeliness, and credibility of monitoring and evaluation data, the Country Office is consolidating its data management processes to better track beneficiary reach, disaggregated outcomes, and programme performance. This initiative supports UNDP Malawi's broader efforts to align with corporate reporting standards (including Quantum and UNINFO), improve data flows between implementing partners and UNDP, and provide Senior Management with real-time visibility into programme results.
The contributions of Online Volunteers will directly support the Country Office's ability to make evidence-based decisions, demonstrate impact to donors and government partners, and ultimately accelerate progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals in Malawi.
