Zomba Diocese Health Commission operates under the Social Directorate of the Catholic Diocese of Zomba. Its mission is to advance the healing ministry of Jesus Christ by promoting human life and providing preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services in a holistic manner. This is achieved through participation in collaborative networks and partnerships, aligned with the needs and capacities of the communities, and in accordance with Catholic core values and principles, to ensure the delivery of the high- quality services, the Commission is seeking to recruit motivated and experienced individuals for the following vacant positions at one of its health facilities St. Robert Health Centre (Sitima).

Job Title: Community Health Nurse Midwife Technician

Grade: K    

Qualifications:

1. College Diploma in Community Health Nursing/Midwifery Technician
2. Licensed to practice by the Nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi

• Conducting community health assessments to identify prevalent health issues and healthcare needs within the community.
• Implementing health improvement measures and facilitating access to resources that enhance overall health outcomes.
• Providing essential medical services, health education, and community support with a focus on disease prevention and the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
• Collaborating with individuals, families, groups, and communities to assess needs and develop appropriate care pathways.
• Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements while maintaining professional conduct in accordance with the Trust’s policies, procedures, and guidelines.
