Job Summary
FINCA is seeking a Branch Manager responsible for ensuring efficient and effective delivery of all FINCA services at branch level.
The successful candidate will manage branch operations, lead staff, grow the customer base, oversee loan and savings portfolios, ensure compliance, and maintain excellent customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise branch staff including tellers, customer support officers, sales officers, recovery officers, collections officers, and relationship supervisors.
- Monitor staff performance and recommend measures to improve productivity.
- Coach, mentor, and motivate staff to achieve performance targets.
- Develop strategies to grow savings products and quality loan portfolios.
- Monitor portfolio growth and customer outreach activities.
- Ensure excellent customer service and address customer concerns.
- Manage branch administration, assets, and office security.
- Prepare and control branch budgets and monitor expenditure.
- Manage daily cash requirements and maintain liquidity controls.
- Ensure compliance with FINCA policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Facilitate audits and implement audit recommendations.
- Represent FINCA at community and business events.
- Maintain relationships with customers, financial institutions, and stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Participate in credit committees and assess loan applications according to policy.
Requirements
Qualifications
- University Degree preferably in Commerce and Accounting (B.Com), Business Administration (BBA), Banking, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a recognized microfinance institution or commercial bank.
- At least 1 year experience at managerial level or supervisory capacity such as Credit Supervisor or Accountant.
- Sound knowledge of microfinance principles and banking practices.
