ASSISTANT NUTRITION OFFICER
Lilongwe Catholic Health Commission (LLCHC)
Job Description
Lilongwe Catholic Health Commission (LLCHC) is the Social and Health Arm of the Catholic Archdiocese of Lilongwe. It ensures that the health services that the Catholic Church provides in the Archdiocese are accessible to the rural masses and the quality of care being provided is in line with professional standards and in the footsteps of Jesus Christ the founder of the Healing Ministry. The Archdiocese covers seven districts of Lilongwe, Kasungu, Dowa, Ntchisi, Nkhotakota, Salima and Mchinji.
PHN – MA (Project HOPE Namibia in Malawi), in partnership with Lilongwe Catholic Health Commission (LLCHC), is currently implementing the Ana ndi Achinyamata Patsogolo (ANAPA) project in Malawi – a five-year, $60 million initiative funded by PEPFAR/USAID previously and now under the USG's Department of State (DoS). ANAPA now prioritizes the provision of life-saving HIV care and treatment services for vulnerable children.
ANAPA has also received non-PEPFAR funding from DoS to implement nutrition interventions in seven ANAPA supported districts of Blantyre, Lilongwe, Machinga, Mangochi, Phalombe, Thyolo and Zomba from March – September 2026. The Nutrition program is aimed at supporting the Government of Malawi in addressing the childhood nutrition challenges of stuntedness, wasting and micronutrients deficiencies and it will focus on social and behaviour change interventions while strengthening local capacity for sustainable nutrition programming.
