Application & Database Officer

Reports To: Head of IT Services

Role Overview

Responsible for day-to-day technical support and the stability, performance, availability, upgrades, integrations, enhancements and security of enterprise databases and business applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Application & payment systems administration and support
• Database administration and performance management
• Manage backup, recovery and data integrity
• System monitoring and performance tuning
• Incident management
• Support, optimization and troubleshooting
• Change and release management
• Integration management
• Reporting, reconciliation, and compliance support

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in IT related field
• Oracle database certification
• 3-5 years experience (financial sector preferred)
• Oracle Database Administration (mandatory)
• Oracle Data Guard experience
• Linux expertise
• Knowledge of payment systems and standards (ISO 8583, ISO 20022)
• Proven experience in database administration and enterprise application support
