DESCRIPTION

CURE International is looking for a qualified Accountant to support revenue collection and financial management at their hospital in Blantyre. The role focuses on ensuring proper handling of funds, accurate accounting, and timely reporting to support smooth hospital operations.

The successful candidate will manage transactions, follow up on payments, perform reconciliations, and support financial reporting and audits.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Record and post patient-related transactions
• Follow up on debtor payments
• Perform bank and mobile money (Mpamba) reconciliations
• Reconcile debtor accounts and match payments to invoices
• Manage petty cash and cash deposits
• Prepare and maintain financial records and documentation
• Generate debtor reports and aging analysis
• Provide monthly financial reports
• Support audits and other finance tasks

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance OR ICAM/ACCA Diploma
• Minimum 3 years accounting experience (healthcare is an advantage)
• Experience supervising staff
• Strong knowledge of accounting processes and reconciliation
• Good communication and organisational skills
